Travel with Confidence

Aloha! My name is Karyn Clay and I'm a Gerontological Specialist who has worked in care homes, long-term care facilities, adult day centers and home care agencies for over 32 years. After earning a BA in Gerontology back in 1998, I moved to the Big Island of Hawai'i where I launched my own adult day center and care home. I cared for the older adults who utilized my businesses to the best of my ability for a total of 22 years. We enjoyed group and individualized activities, socialization, and working together to manage activities of daily living. I later served as a care manager for a home care agency, where I found genuine fulfillment in coordinating travel experiences for clients who needed supportive companionship along the way.

My other passion is cruising and travel. I met my husband on my first cruise in 2004 and we've enjoyed many ocean adventures since. I made the decision to formally educate myself as a travel advisor and, through my studies, recognized a clear need for intentional accessibility support. The experience that I've gained throughout my career in the aging industry has prepared me to ease the path forward for individuals who may have thought travel was no longer an option, or find themselves unexpectedly needing to travel when they don't have someone available to directly assist them. I understand, and can help avoid, potential obstacles that may arise specific to the needs of individuals with cognitive and/or physical challenges.

My mission is to combine my passion for travel with my experience in the aging industry to empower older adults to embark on thoughtfully crafted journeys with confidence, comfort, and ease.
