I recently returned from a cruise to Iceland with my daughter Karyn. It was a special cruise for us, just mother and daughter. I can’t say enough about an Iceland trip. The people, the scenery, the waterfalls, the birds; especially the Puffins, the ATV ride we took, the two lagoons we relaxed in, the meals in the various towns including one in the city Reykjavik. So much to see and do on such a beautiful island.
I took a Mediterranean cruise with my sister in May. What a difference between a cruise with support compared to handling all the little parts that go along with cruising between my sister and myself.
I am no spring chicken (80 ½!) yet know that I want to travel as long as I can. Understanding what a trip entails, including but not limited to, the planning, the perfect cruise room, the airlines reservations, transportation to and from the airport, hotel reservations if you arrive a few days early, which we did, planning what to do when in port if you do not take an excursion. The logistics of the exciting excursions, managing the luggage, to find where everything is on the ship, usually I figure it out on the last day! And all the little surprises that were not expected along the way (like my suitcase coming apart around the handle).
